Question What are the requirements to enroll in the BP MotorClub?
Answer You must reside in the U.S. and have a valid driver's license. Sorry, this membership offer is not available to residents outside the U.S. or in the state of CA. Please read our Legal Disclosures for more details.

Question How soon can I start using the membership benefits after I sign up?
Answer You may begin using your Roadside Assistance benefits immediately after you enroll. Your full membership begins when you receive your membership materials, which will be mailed to you within 5 to 10 business days. Roadside Assistance benefits are on a reimbursement basis until BP MotorClub receives your membership fees.

Question What geographic areas are covered by the BP MotorClub?
Answer Roadside Assistance coverage is available throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada.

The BP MotorClub cannot accept enrollments from residents outside the U.S. or in the state of CA.

Question What vehicles are covered under the BP MotorClub membership?
Answer The BP MotorClub offers full Roadside Assistance benefits to four-wheel vehicles designed, licensed and used for private on-road transportation, including passenger cars; motorcycles; and sport utility vehicles, light trucks, and RVs with a carrying capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. Recreational vehicles and pick-up trucks with more than 2,000 pounds carrying capacity and all vehicles with more than four wheels can only be provided with jump starts and fuel delivery. (All other BP MotorClub benefits are available to members with these types of vehicles.)

Question Are RVs (Recreational Vehicles) covered under BP MotorClub membership?
Answer Yes, the BP MotorClub offers full Roadside Assistance benefits for RVs with a carrying capacity of up to one ton (2,000 pounds). Recreational vehicles and trucks with more than 4 wheels or a carrying capacity of more than one ton (2,000 pounds) can only be provided starting and fuel delivery service.

Question Who are your service providers? Are they operated only by Amoco and BP service stations?
Answer BP MotorClub contracts with authorized independent service providers throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada, including certain Amoco and BP service stations, with thousands of service vehicles. However, not all BP service stations are authorized independent service providers.

Question What service providers do you have in my area?
Answer BP MotorClub searches from thousands of contracted authorized independent service providers to help meet your towing service needs fast and hassle-free. Your phone number, ZIP code and/or location are matched to locate the closest authorized independent service providers. If you still want to learn more about specific authorized independent service providers in your area, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-732-9600 for Premier/Premier Plus members and 1-800-334-3300 for Silver members.

Question What is the towing coverage under the BP MotorClub membership plan?
Answer You may choose one of the three (3) towing options listed below.
You may be towed:
  1. To the authorized service's repair facility at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
  2. To a destination you select within hundred (100) miles of the disablement at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for Premier Plus members or within fifty (50) miles of the disablement at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for Premier members or within five (5) miles of the disablement at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for Silver members.
  3. To a destination other than the authorized independent service provider's facility more than hundred (100) miles from disablement for Premier Plus members or more than fifty (50) miles from disablement for Premier members or more than five (5) miles from disablement for Silver members. Charges for mileage beyond your stated limits must be paid at the time services are rendered and are not reimbursable.

Question What does Roadside Assistance cover?
Answer Roadside Assistance coverage includes:
  • Battery boost/jump start
  • Flat tire service
  • Fuel delivery
  • Towing
  • Winching/stuck vehicle service
  • Lockout service
  • Lost/Stolen key service
  • Accident/Vandalism/Fire towing

Question How do I obtain Roadside Assistance?
Answer
  1. Call 1-800-732-9600 if you are a Premier/Premier Plus member, or call 1-800-START-UP (782-7887) if you are a Silver member.


  2. Provide the operator with the following:
    • Your Membership number
    • Area code and telephone number where your disabled vehicle is located
    • Location of your disabled vehicle (city, state, and street address or closest intersection)
    • Description of your disabled vehicle (year, make, model, color)
    • License plate number and state
    • Type of service needed

  3. The operator will keep you on the line while securing an authorized independent service provider.
  4. S/he will give you the authorized independent service provider's name and the time when you can expect help to arrive.
  5. For your protection, be with your car when the authorized independent service provider arrives. Unattended vehicles cannot be serviced; remain in the car unless it is unsafe to do so.
  6. Present the service provider with your membership card and driver's license or personal ID.

Question What information is included in the Pathfinder® Trip Routing packet?

Question What additional hotel and motel discounts are available to BP MotorClub members?
Answer Save 5% - 40% off regular rates many hotels and motels. For example, BP MotorClub members receive 5% - 25% off regular room rates at Marriott Hotels by calling 1-800-228-9290 and asking for the Marriott Corporate Rate Program or the lowest available promotional or leisure rate.

Question How does BP MotorClub's Auto Theft Deterrent Reward work?
Answer To help protect against auto theft, BP MotorClub will pay a reward totaling up to $5,000 for Silver members or a reward totaling up to $10,000 for Premier and Premier Plus members for information provided to the police by a private citizen, which leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone stealing a member's car. BP MotorClub members and their families and law enforcement officials and their families are excluded.

Question How do the Reimbursable Services work?
Answer If BP MotorClub is unable to dispatch service to you:
  1. Call the nearest towing facility by looking in the local Yellow Pages directory under "towing" or "wrecker service."
  2. Pay for the service and obtain a receipt from the service provider. The receipt should include the provider's name, address, telephone number, date and type of service rendered.
  3. Submit your claim(s) to the address below within 60 days after the date of service*. Claims submitted without the original receipt or with incomplete information will be returned for resubmission.
  4. Your claim will be reimbursed up to $120 per disablement for Premier and Premier Plus members, $60 per disablement for Silver members.

Lockout Service: If we are unable to dispatch a service provider or locksmith, you will be reimbursed for locksmith services up to $120 for Premier and Premier Plus members, $60 for Silver members. Pay for the service, write your name, address, phone number and membership number on the original paid receipt and mail to the address below.

Lost/Stolen Key Service: You will be reimbursed up to $120 for Premier and Premier Plus members, $60 for Silver members, for vehicle key and lock replacement. Reimbursement is limited to ignition and door keys and locks. If needed, pay for the service, write your name, address, phone number and membership number on the original paid receipt and mail to the address below.

Accident/Vandalism/Fire Towing: Road service or towing costs resulting from an accident are normally recovered through your insurance company. The service provided (road service, towing, clean-up) is submitted as part of your damage claim to your insurance company.You must pay the service provider for the services provided and submit a claim directly to your auto insurance company. If the insurance company refuses to pay the claim, send the refusal and the original paid receipt to the address below for reimbursement of up to $120 for Premier and Premier Plus Plan members, up to $60 per disablement for Silver Plan members.

Please submit all reimbursement claims within 60 days* after the date of service to BP MotorClub, P.O. Box 4424, Carol Stream, IL 60197.

BP MotorClub reserves the right to adjust or deny a claim for reimbursement when:
  • Membership is in an unpaid status at the time of service.
  • Amount paid contains either parkway or tollway charges.
  • Member does not attempt to obtain authorized service.
  • Service rendered is not included under the BP MotorClub coverage.
  • Member has exceeded his or her annual claims limit.
  • Claim is postmarked more than 60 days* after the date of service.

*No time limitation for residents of UT and WI.

Question What does a BP MotorClub membership cost?
Answer When you enroll online, you will receive the first month of membership for only $1, then you will be automatically charged $9.99 monthly for Premier Plus membership or $8.99 monthly for Premier membership or $6.50 monthly for Silver membership.
